About Us

H2O Pro Pty Ltd was established in 1997 as a Registered Training Organisation with a mission to create a reputation for high quality training in life saving skills for industry and the community.

With an emphasis on training Pool Lifeguards we quickly became accepted as a leading training provider in this field and our expertise was sought by industry bodies and skills councils. 

Although based in Victoria our reputation for quality training extended interstate and we soon had clients in Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia.

In addition we expanded our training to include First Aid training and this opened our markets to include schools, kindergartens, golf clubs and general industry.

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) we were required to maintain compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations and were regularly audited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).

These standards, which RTO’s must meet in the delivery of accredited training, include details on how assessments are conducted and information that must be provided to candidates undertaking our training courses.

Our instructional staff all worked in leisure facilities, from outdoor pools to large indoor centres, in roles including lifeguard, duty manager and operations (responsible for the pool water quality and plant and equipment).

In 2017, using the knowledge and experience we had gained from working in commercial aquatic centres, we expanded our business to include servicing and maintenance of residential (backyard) swimming pools. This business has steadily grown with many regular customers and a lot of one off jobs.

In 2018, we celebrated our 21st year of operations. As a micro business, our track record of over 25,000 pool lifeguards trained by our staff (no licensees or contractors) is a record we are proud of and one which highlights the commitment of our small team to quality education and training.

At the start of 2019 we made a decision to step away from training and focus more on our pool cleaning and maintenance services. We  cancelled our registration as a Training Organisation in 2020 and now concentrate on servicing the local pool market with on site pool care and maintenance and a pool supplies shop.
